Philosophy

About Irina Avilova, DeLight Media founder

When I walk into a space — whether it’s a quiet home, a sculptural building or a freshly finished interior — something inside me immediately wakes up.
I always say “Wow… I love it!” first, and only after that I remember to breathe.
Architecture affects me physically. Beautiful interiors make me feel warm, inspired, energized — sometimes even a little emotional.
Light, space, texture — they all have their own language, and I’ve spent years learning how to translate that language into images.
My goal is simple:
I want people to feel what I felt the moment I stepped into your project.

My Approach

Soft. Calm. Intentional.
I photograph architecture the way it’s experienced — slowly, attentively. I observe how sunlight moves across surfaces, how shadows define geometry, how textures create rhythm. Sometimes I spend minutes simply watching the light settle before taking the first frame.
I don’t rush —  let the space set the pace. Because good architectural photography isn’t about capturing a room — it’s about revealing its character.

Methodology

Why I Love Working With Architects & Designers

Designers and architects create the world we live in — sometimes without receiving the recognition they deserve.
I want to show:
+ the intention behind every line
+ the beauty behind every material
+ the emotion hidden inside every composition.

Your work is not “content.” It is a craft — thoughtful, technical, poetic.
And we treat it with the same respect.
We truly believe the world needs more beauty, more taste, more thoughtful design — and photography is my way of helping more people see it.

A Little Honesty

If you think I spend my days sipping cappuccinos with designers or wine at design events…I’m sorry to disappoint you.

80% of my workdays is me, my computer, and endless editing — because I will not deliver an image until it feels right.

And yes, sometimes I talk to the light when it finally lands the way I want. (It’s okay. We’re friends.)

What I Believe?

+ Architecture deserves to be photographed with dignity.
+ Good photography shouldn’t over-style or distort the truth.
+ Natural light is the most honest storyteller.
+ Beauty is not superficial — it’s emotional.
+ A space can change how people feel.
+ And photography and videography can preserve that feeling.

Beyond the Camera

I am endlessly curious.
I love houses, cities, coffee shops, random corners with perfect shadows, weird staircases, old windows, doors, and freshly built ones.
I look at everything like it’s a potential frame.
I don’t just document spaces — I genuinely enjoy them.

That’s why architecture and interiors feel like home to me.

Let’s Capture Your

Project

I would love to showcase it.
